Migration · Relay.app is winding down
Switch from Relay.app, land somewhere better
Relay.app is shutting down. Free accounts stop on August 15, 2026; paid accounts stop on September 14. Move the workflows you depend on to Rills, where the human approval step is the whole product.
August 15, 2026
Free accounts and all their data are permanently deleted.
September 14, 2026
Paid accounts and all their data are permanently deleted.
New signups and free-to-paid upgrades are already off. Your workflows keep running until your date, so the safe move is to migrate during the window, not on the last day.
We'll migrate you
Bring your Relay export to a free 30-minute session. We rebuild your first workflow live, map the rest, and flag anything that won't transfer cleanly. No signup required: you watch your own workflow run before you ever create an account.

What you keep, and what you lose
Comes with you
- Workflows, sequences, and MCP servers as JSON and AI prompts
- Your run history
- Your tables, exported as CSV
Stays behind
- Stored credentials and tokens for your connected apps are deleted
- So a JSON export alone won't move a live workflow anywhere
- You reconnect every integration by hand, wherever you land
You pay that reconnection cost once, no matter which tool you choose. Spend it moving to the platform you'd want for the next few years.
Human approval, kept and upgraded
Relay's edge was real human-in-the-loop steps: a person in the middle of a flow, the automation waiting on a decision. Rills makes that the whole product. Consequential AI actions wait in a queue on your phone, you swipe to approve or reject, and every decision is logged. Try it.

Why Rills for a Relay refugee
The review shrinks as trust builds
Relay's approval is a per-workflow switch that stays the same on the hundredth run. Rills scores confidence on every proposed action. Patterns you reliably approve start clearing on their own; anything unusual keeps stopping for a person.
A decision record on every action
When a prospect complains or a manager asks why an email went out, pull up what the AI proposed, who approved it, when, and the context they saw. On every plan, not just an enterprise tier.
Approvals and logic are free
You're billed for high-value actions like an AI call or an external send. Adding a review step, a confidence gate, or a branch costs nothing, and a workflow paused awaiting your approval costs $0.
Move your workflows in four steps
- 1
Export from Relay now
Pull the JSON and AI-prompt versions of each workflow, your run history, and your tables as CSV. This is the step with a hard deadline, so do it first.
- 2
Hand the AI-prompt export to Rills's builder
Because that export already describes the workflow in plain language, you get a working draft instead of a blank canvas.
- 3
Reconnect your integrations
Re-authorize Slack, your CRM, email, and the rest. Credentials never transfer between platforms, so this happens wherever you move.
- 4
Put approval gates where the risk is
Guard the external sends and consequential writes; let the internal logic run untouched. Test each rebuilt workflow on a small batch before real volume.
Pricing that doesn't tax the review
Relay.app
- Free: 200 steps/mo, 500 AI credits/mo, 1 user (relay.app/pricing)
- Professional: $38/mo monthly or $19/mo billed annually; 750 steps + 2,000 AI credits/mo, 1 user
- Team: $118/mo monthly or $59/mo billed annually; 1,500 steps/mo, 10 users, shared workflows
- Steps meter every action; the slider runs to 1M steps ($889/mo Professional, $919 Team, annual)
Rills
- Starter $29/month: 10,000 workflow credits & 1,000 AI credits/mo (included)
- Professional $99/month: 50,000 workflow & 5,000 AI credits/mo
- Business $349/month: 200,000 workflow & 20,000 AI credits/mo
- Human approvals and workflow logic never consume credits
- $0 while workflows are paused awaiting approval
- Enterprise: custom pricing and credit pools (see /pricing)
Relay metered steps and AI credits, so more workflow machinery meant a bigger bill. On Rills the review is free. See the full Rills vs Relay.app comparison.
Questions about switching from Relay.app
When is Relay.app shutting down?
August 15, 2026 for free accounts and September 14, 2026 for paying customers, per Relay's own announcement. New signups and free-to-paid upgrades are already turned off, and existing workflows keep running until those dates.
Can I export my workflows and data from Relay.app?
Yes. Relay lets you export workflows, sequences, and MCP servers as JSON and AI prompts, your run history, and your tables as CSV files. Export is available now, before your account's deletion date.
What happens to my Relay.app data if I don't export it?
It is permanently deleted at the end of the wind-down window. Relay also deletes its stored credentials and tokens for your connected apps at that point, so export anything you want to keep before the cutoff.
Is Rills a good Relay.app alternative with human approval steps?
Rills is built around the approval step Relay users came for. Consequential AI actions wait in a mobile queue, a human approves or rejects, and every decision is logged. Approvals and logic steps are free, so adding review does not raise your bill.
Do I have to rebuild my Relay workflows from scratch to switch?
You rebuild the logic, but not from a blank page. Relay's JSON and AI-prompt exports describe each workflow well enough to hand to Rills's builder, and you reconnect your integrations along the way since credentials do not transfer between platforms.
Can EU and UK companies use Rills? What about GDPR?
Yes. A Data Processing Agreement with EU Standard Contractual Clauses applies to every account automatically, every subprocessor is published with 30 days' notice before changes, and your data is never used to train AI models. There is a plain-language overview at GDPR at Rills.
Move before the window closes.
Export your Relay data today, then rebuild on Rills at a sane pace while your account still runs alongside as a reference.
