Classmarker Workflow Automation & Approvals

Run Classmarker on autopilot. Keep the veto.

28 actions

Quiz creation, user provisioning, and access list management run inside Classmarker. Rills gates deletions of test links, access list entries, and groups, plus new user and question creation, for approval before they reshape who can take what.

02. The trust layer

Most automation fires first, asks later. Rills shows you the change before it ships.

Every consequential education action from Classmarker arrives on your phone first. Approve in seconds. Decline without explaining yourself. Workflows wait, paused at zero cost, until you decide.

Illustrative. Your real proposals match your data and your approval history.
  1. Free to wait. Free to think.

Approvals and logic don't cost a credit. Pause a workflow for three hours or three weeks. The price is the same: zero. You only pay when something real happens: an AI call, an outbound action.

  2. Approve from your phone in five seconds.

Swipe right when you're sure. Decline when you're not. Between meetings, mid-coffee, on the train. No dashboard to babysit, no inbox triage, and no surprise send you find out about after it's already out the door.

  3. Clear runs stop waiting on you.

Every run is scored against your review step. The ones that clearly match your judgment run above your threshold without a tap; the borderline ones still come to the queue. Autonomy is earned run by run, never switched on for good.

03. Overview

About Classmarker automation

Every test link lives in a student’s inbox, a team’s onboarding checklist, or a certification candidate’s calendar. Remove the wrong one, or create a user with access to a restricted group, and the assessment flow breaks in ways that are hard to trace. Classmarker automation means those changes can happen instantly and silently when workflows push data; someone needs to see them first.

When Classmarker runs unsupervised

A workflow or scheduled task fires an action and the result hits Classmarker immediately. That speed opens the door to coordinated data errors:

  • Delete Test Link: an exam link is removed before a candidate completes it, voiding their attempt.
  • Delete Access List Item: a learner loses entry to an exam they were scheduled to take.
  • Create ClassMarker User: a new user gets added to a group with privileges they shouldn’t have.
  • Delete Group: an entire cohort’s results, settings, and membership disappear in one step.
  • Create Question: a poorly formed question is pushed to a live test without review.

What Rills does inside Classmarker

When your workflows propose deletions of test links, access list items, or groups, and when they create new users or questions, Rills intercepts those actions and places them in a review queue. The proposal waits until a human approves, and then it executes, leaving a decision record with the test or group context attached.

The link still gets removed; you just see it before it reaches the learners.

Why Classmarker has no triggers and how Rills fills the gap

Classmarker does not emit webhook events for changes inside the platform, so there’s no native trigger for “test deleted” or “user created.” Rills works instead by gating the actions that your automations initiate, regardless of how they’re started:

  • A daily scan workflow that identifies unused test links and proposes their deletion.
  • A scheduled task that pulls recent group exam results and then proposes access list removals for inactive learners.
  • An upstream trigger in a CRM or HRIS that creates a ClassMarker user when a new learner record appears.
  • An admin dashboard action that lets a manager manually flag a group for deletion, queuing the action for approval.
